The issue of "prisons for profit," and the way the drug war feeds that 
industry, is another issue many Greens are interested in, which I think would be 
good to have a position paper on.  Can persons who want to work on this please 
respond directly to me, and I'll link you up with one another?  There are 
knowledgeable people associated with the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition, 
who may actually be Green Party members (not sure), who can be a resource in 
this effort.

The goal would be to develop a position paper for the Colorado Green Party, 
to become a plank in our state party platform, in time to be voted on at the 
April 2004 state meeting.
