The Green Party environmental task force, an ad hoc group formed to revamp
the Colorado GP's platform on environmental issues, needs you! We had our first
meeting in Denver today, and covered several issues (primarily energy), and
decided that as many of us as can will go to the Western Slope for at least one
meeting. We need people experienced and interested in West Slope
environmental issues to take the lead in drafting position papers on the topics which
have primarily West Slope impact, such as coalbed methane production, RS 2477,
cyanide heap leach gold mining, etc.

The goal is to have the platform, or discrete position papers, ready to
present for party approval at the state meeting, which will be in Ft. Collins,
likely on April 24, so that we can then post it on the website.

Please respond to me at:

AlisMynrd@aol.com

to let us know your availability, and whether you know of a place to do the
West Slope meeting. I think probably a meeting in Grand Junction in
mid-February makes the most sense.

We all look forward to seeing you!

Sunny Maynard
