Thanks for the effort, Sunny. As reported on the Cobb campaign website, =
Nebraska was successful and handed in the signatures.
2) On the Air - KGNU in Boulder hosted a forum on July 29th with a =
representative from 5 Presidential campaigns (Democrat, Republican, =

the relation between local chapters and the state/national =
organizations. Thanks for handling this, Bruce. Bruce Meyer, =
bruce@demandearth.com

tkinkade@indra.com =20
2) Fill empty positions - There are several positions open at the GPCO =
and GPUS level.
GPCO Co-Chair - The Green Party of Colorado needs 1 additional Co-Chair =
to help with the business of the State party. For the success of the =
Green Party in Colorado, i believe this is the most important position =
to fill. It would be desirable for this person to be a woman from the =
Western Slope, but if not available, i would support someone who is =
committed to the work. If interested, please contact me for details. =
Lanny Kness, lannykness@comcast.net=20
GPUS-CC Representative - Bill McCormick is stepping down as 1 of 2 GPCO =
representatives to the GPUS Coordinating Committee. Thanks for your =
efforts, Bill. This is an important position for Colorado to fill so =
that we are fully represented at the GPUS level. If interested, contact =
Lanny Kness, lannykness@comcast.net=20
GPUS-CCC Member - There are 2 openings on the GPUS Campaign Coordinating =
Committee. They are seeking 1 man and 1 woman. This is a national level =
position. If you are interested in this, we could start the process. You =
would be competing with candidates from the entire US for the positions. =
I would suggest that instead of pursuing these openings, you consider =
supporting Hollie Kopp's work as State Associate to the CCC. Lanny =
Kness, lannykness@comcast.net=20
3) Quarterly conference call: I would like to have a State quarterly =
conference call. This is just to review the last 3 months, discuss any =
issues, and to consider what we need to accomplish in the next 3 months. =
This will be at the end of August or early September. Lanny Kness, =
lannykness@comcast.net=20
4) State Meeting / Nominating Convention minutes - Bruce McNaughton will =
be completing the official minutes from the State meetings on April =
24th. These will be posted on the GPCO website when completed. Bruce =
McNaughton brucemcn@iopener.net
5) La Plata Reinstatement Proposal - Krista Batterson and Todd Cronin =
may submit a proposal to Council to reinstate the La Plata Chapter.
September Activities - (look forward)
1) Growing the Party - As Co-Chair, i will be submitting a proposal to =
get Council's commitment to growing the party, and a plan to do this. =
lannykness@comcast.net
2) Status of committees - I will try and get updates, the names of the =
Co-Chairs, and plans of action form the 3 other GPCO committees, which =
are Platform, Outreach, and Registration.=20
3) Current elected officials - I will be contacting all of the current =
elected officials as a good will gesture. I hope to get feedback from =
them and see where we can work better together. The GPCO would also like =
to collect contact and bio info plus a picture for the GPCO website. =
Lanny Kness, lannykness@comcast.net
Please send directly to me any comments / ideas about the content and =
format of this status report.=20
Thanks.
