[announce-gpco] YES on Amendment 36

Dear Friends,

The Green Party of Colorado endorses Amendment 36, an initiative that =
will
change Colorado=92s 9 electoral votes from winner-take-all to =
proportional
representation based on the popular vote. This means that a third-party
candidate is guaranteed an electoral vote if that candidate receives at
least 1/9 of the popular vote in Colorado. We hope you will vote for =
this
important reform.

Our current winner-take-all system ignores the votes of millions of
Coloradans by giving all of our electoral votes to the one candidate =
with
the most votes. As a result, millions of Coloradans go to the polls in =
each
presidential election believing that their votes do not matter. This is
especially true for those who support a third-party candidate.

We have the power to change this system and make sure that every vote
matters by passing Amendment 36. It=92s time to make =93one person, one =
vote=94 a
reality in Colorado. Please vote YES on Amendment 36.
