Hello All,
The Green Party is growing in numbers and increasing in the level of commitment to serving our communities. We have an opportunity to become a national political party with access to all fifty states' ballot lines and to become part of the national presidential debates for 2012. Cynthia McKinney's Power to the People campaign of the U.S. Green Party needs your volunteer abilities and your financial contributions.
Recently, I gave 250.00 dollars to her campaign and, so far, Colorado has raised 1,300.00 dollars in contributions for the Power to the People Committee. The committee is seeking to reach a goal of $100,000.00 toward matching campaign finance funds by August 1st, 2008. This would allow the campaign a wider reach and to solidify ballot access in states that require greater peoplepower to obtain signatures. Money would go for more signs, bumper stickers, posters, and to maintain the website.

Cynthia McKinney is planning on teaching at Tent State University and will be part of the Peace March here in Denver on August 25, 2008 with the Greens at Five Points in Denver. Arrangements are being made for her to speak at the Mercury Cafe.
A committee is forming for her presidential campaign here in Colorado. Meetings may be every Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Tony D's house in Thornton. We will be phoning local and state Green Party voters and "unaffiliated" voters.
